Maria Vassileva (PhD in Art History) is curator, art historian and art critic, former chief curator at the Sofia City Art Gallery (1998-2015), where she established the collection of “Contemporary art and photography” in 2006. Director and founder of Structura Gallery, Sofia. 

She was member of ICA-Sofia from 1995 untill 2012. On the ocassion of the exhibition "25 years and 5 themes later
. ICA–Sofia Retrospective" she shared her views on the recent history of Contemporary Art in Bulgaria and her experience at ICA-Sofia.
